Breakthrough: Code Page Images

This psot contains some of the upgraded images from the Somerton Man 'Code Page'. It has taken a long while to be able to capture imroved images of just what it is that lies behind the markings made by the SA Police.

For those who are unaware, the so called 'Code Page' is in fact an inside page of the copy of the Rubaiyat of Omar Khayyam found and associated with the Somerton Man, the back page, the page on which someone had been writing, had in fact been torn off and has never been found. It was this inside page that was examined by the Police using firstly a UV light and then very possibly in an effort to get a much clearer picture of the impressions that were revealed, Iodine Vapour, a common method used by Police and Intelligence agencies at that time and possibly even today.

The following images were taken using a very simple process which I will certainly share once it has been improved a little. Effectively what it does is to remove lighter colours and leave the darker colouring beneath. For example if you were to look very closely at any of the letters of the page even with the naked eye you would see areas of darker and lighter colourings.

The police used something like a felt tip pen, a very fine one, to mark over the impressions they saw, the ink from this pen flowed on to the page and followed the impressions and where the impressions on the paper were deeper, more ink would have settled. This accounts for the areas of differing 'depth' of colour. The bottom line is the so called letters are not all black in colour, they are various shades of grey. The process I have used focuses on that fact and as stateed, we have found a way past the lighter colours and without using any digital, PhotoShop style tools to do so.

The first 2 images are of the first letter A in the 4th Line, in this image you will see strings of numbers with some letters

 On the left is the 2nd letter A in the 4th line, again strings of numbers are seen.

This is part of the letter G from the last line and here you can make out letters in the cross bar of the G.

On the left is the letter B from line 4, there are some letters with many numbers apparent.










 Below is the letter B from line 3, a comibination of letters and numbers with what appear to be symbols.

On the left is the last letter P from line 3, numbers are clearly seen in this image.

Finally we have the letter I from line 3 characterised by letters and numbers.

As the process improves we will be getting much clearer images, your feedback on these is more than welcome, you should be able to make out many of the various letters and numbers.

The purpose of displaying these is to add more credibility to the spy theory and importantly to demonstrate that there is so much more to be found on the code page and for that matter elsewhere.
